New Riverside Venue
Westminster Boating Base
Our stunning new riverside venue sits right on the banks of the Thames, with panoramic views of the London skyline, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, a terrace for sunset moments, a cocktail bar and a lounge area to connect between tandas. A beautiful setting for an intimate but unforgettable Tango weekend.
Travel & Location
Designed for international travellers
Alma takes place in the heart of central London at Westminster Boating Base, a beautiful riverside venue in Pimlico with excellent transport connections across the city.
Getting to the venue
Westminster Boating Base is located at 136 Grosvenor Rd, Pimlico, Westminster, London SW1V 3JY, directly on the River Thames in central London.
The nearest Underground station is Pimlico, served by the Victoria Line. London Underground operates a 24-hour Night Tube service on weekends, making travel to and from the festival simple even after our late-night milongas.
Accommodation & travel
If you are travelling from outside London, you can already begin looking for accommodation in the Pimlico area, where the festival venue is located.
Victoria is another excellent option and is only a short walk from the venue, with a wide range of hotels, guesthouses and serviced apartments for different budgets.
Thanks to London's excellent public transport network, you can also stay elsewhere in London and easily reach the festival using the Underground, buses or national rail services.
We recommend comparing options on Booking.com and Airbnb, as these platforms usually offer a wide range of hotels, apartments and guesthouses across Pimlico, Victoria and central London.
London airports
London is served by several international airports, all connected to central London by train, underground, coach or taxi.
We will be sharing recommended hotels, accommodation options, airport guidance and local travel tips shortly to help you plan your Alma weekend.
