Why Alma

An international Tango meeting point in one of the world’s great cultural capitals

Alma was created to make London a meeting point for Tango lovers from around the world: a place to connect in this magical city through the love of Tango, and to experience exceptional Argentine maestros, artists, DJs and orchestras in an intimate festival setting.

We bring together iconic and inspirational figures in Tango while creating space for the exciting new generation. Alma offers high-quality learning, unmissable cultural moments and opportunities to connect over an intimate but epic weekend.

With the spirit and magic of Buenos Aires, the best of Argentine Tango culture and an iconic riverside Thames backdrop, Alma is London’s international Tango festival.

Personal & welcoming

We want you to feel part of the community — to meet the organisers, the team, the artists and other dancers in a festival large enough to meet new faces but intimate enough to truly connect.

Curated quality

Every maestro, DJ, orchestra and performance is chosen with care, shaping a weekend where the music, atmosphere and learning all feel intentional.

Intimate but epic

Limited to 200 dancers per night, Alma combines boutique warmth with the excitement of an international Tango festival in London.

Artist Line-up

World-class maestros leading Alma 2026

Meet the maestros and guest artists at the heart of Alma de Tango Festival London 2026, before exploring the live music and DJ line-up.

Sandra & Ricardo

A rare opportunity to study with deeply respected Argentine maestros whose dancing carries tradition, elegance and a lifetime of Tango culture. Their presence brings depth, history and refinement to the learning experience.

Martín & Ayelén

A powerful Argentine couple with a dynamic, creative style, known for technical precision, improvisation and expressive musicality. They bring energy, depth and modern social dance quality to the weekend.

Marcela & Stefano

An international reference couple known for clarity, connection and their ability to transmit Tango’s roots with warmth and precision. Their workshops bring structure, musicality and social dance wisdom.

Letitia & Andrés

The London and Argentine heart behind Alma, shaping the festival’s atmosphere, community and hospitality. Their role connects the international line-up with the local London Tango scene.

Patrycja & Jakub Grzybek

Known affectionately as Los Polacos, they represent a vibrant European Tango generation: precise, musical, charismatic and deeply connected to the social dance floor.

Live Music

Music at the heart of Alma

Live sound, intensity and atmosphere will shape some of the most memorable moments of the weekend.

DJs

Musical journeys for the dance floor

We have invited renowned festival DJs, chosen with great care for their experience, musical knowledge and ability to create the perfect atmosphere to keep us dancing all weekend.

Carefully chosen mood makers

At Alma, DJs are not an afterthought. Each DJ has been invited for their sensitivity, experience and ability to shape a musical journey across the weekend — from elegant afternoon tandas to the energy of the gala nights.

FAQ

Before you book

When is the festival?

Alma de Tango Festival London takes place from 15–18 October 2026.

Where is the venue?

Westminster Boating Base, 136 Grosvenor Rd, Pimlico, Westminster, London SW1V 3JY.

Where should I stay?

We recommend looking for accommodation in Pimlico, where the festival venue is located. Victoria is also very close and has many hotel and apartment options. You can compare availability, prices and accommodation styles on Booking.com and Airbnb.

How do I book?

Bookings are made through Ticket Tailor. Use any Book button on this page to choose your pass and complete checkout.

How do workshop selections work?

If you book a Festival Pass or Full Experience Pass, you must select your preferred workshops during checkout. Workshop places are limited and several workshops sold out last year, so early selection is recommended.

Can I change my workshop selections?

Workshop selections may be changed up to 30 days before the festival, subject to availability, capacity and role balance. Some workshops may fill earlier than others, so we recommend choosing carefully when booking.

Do any workshops overlap?

Most workshops are planned to run separately. The only planned overlap is on Saturday between WS7 · Milonga Vieja and the Special Musicality Seminar with live bandoneon and violin.

Is the Grand Sunday Asado included in the passes?

The Grand Sunday Asado will be available as an optional add-on and is not included automatically in the festival passes. It will take place on Sunday afternoon as part of the closing day of the festival. Booking for the asado will open soon, and already booked Alma attendees will receive priority access before any remaining places are released more widely.

Is the Tango DJ Seminar included?

The Tango DJ Seminar will be available as a separate add-on and will be bookable soon. It is designed for Tango DJs and dancers interested in musical programming, musical structure and the art of shaping the dance floor.

How long is Early Bird available?

Early Bird passes are now live and available until 19 July 2026, or until the current allocation sells out. Once the allocation is gone, prices move to the next stage.

Are bookings refundable?

Bookings are non-refundable for attendee cancellations. Alma is an intimate festival with limited capacity, carefully managed role balance, international artists, venue commitments and workshop allocations. Each confirmed booking helps us plan the quality and balance of the festival experience.

This does not affect your statutory rights. If the festival is cancelled, rescheduled or materially changed by the organiser, we will contact attendees with the available options in line with applicable consumer law.

Can I transfer my pass to another dancer?

Yes. Passes may be transferred to another dancer of the same role up to 30 days before the festival, subject to approval by the organisers. This helps us preserve role balance, workshop capacity and the quality of the dance floor.

Can the artist line-up or programme change?

Alma is carefully curated around our invited artists, musicians and DJs. Very occasionally, changes may be necessary due to illness, travel disruption or circumstances beyond the festival’s control.

If an artist, workshop, DJ set, performance or schedule element needs to change, we will do our best to provide a suitable replacement or adjusted programme of comparable quality. If the festival is cancelled, rescheduled or materially changed by the organiser, attendees will be contacted with the available options in line with applicable consumer law.

How do I get to the venue from the airport?

All major London airports are accessible to the festival venue. See the Travel & Location section for suggested train, Tube and coach routes, including links to TfL, Trainline, National Rail and National Express.

Is London accessible late at night?

Yes. Pimlico is on the Victoria Line, and the Victoria Line Night Tube runs overnight on Friday and Saturday. There are also night buses, taxis and rideshare options available for late-night travel after the milongas.

Do I need a partner?

No. You can register as a solo dancer or with a partner. Early booking is recommended as role balance will be monitored.

Is capacity limited?

Yes. The festival is intentionally limited to approximately 200 dancers per night to preserve atmosphere, comfort and dance-floor quality.
