The festival is getting close. Capacity is limited to approximately 200 dancers per night, and some workshops are already filling. Advance booking is strongly recommended.

Alma takes place at Westminster Boating Base, a beautiful riverside venue in Pimlico with panoramic London views, a terrace, cocktail bar and welcoming social spaces.

Four days of Tango, from the opening embrace to the Grand Celebration

Start with us on Thursday: welcome drinks for pass holders, aperitivo, DJ Gabito and Los Polacos open the second edition of Alma de Tango Festival London. Stay through Sunday: our Grand Celebration moves from afternoon into evening beside the Thames, with DJ La Rubia and a special all-maestro show with unexpected pairings created for the occasion.
Sunday is part of the festival experience, not simply the farewell. The Grand Celebration Milonga is included in the relevant festival and milonga passes. The traditional Argentine Grand Asado is optional and booked separately, with bookings opening in September.

Before you book
When and where is the festival?
Alma de Tango Festival London takes place from 15–18 October 2026 at Westminster Boating Base, 136 Grosvenor Rd, Pimlico, Westminster, London SW1V 3JY.
Which ticket should I choose?
Choose the Milonga Pass for the complete four-day social programme, the Festival Pass for 5 workshops and the musicality seminar, or the Full Experience Pass for up to 8 workshops. Joining for three days? Festival Flex is the perfect weekend pass if you want workshops as well, with up to 4 milongas and any 3 workshops across your selected festival days. Milonga Flex is the perfect social weekend pass, with 3 festival days and up to 4 milongas, performances, DJs and live music. If you can only join selected events, individual milonga and workshop tickets are also available.
How do workshop selections work?
Festival Pass, Full Experience and Festival Flex holders select workshops during checkout. Festival Flex includes any 3 workshops across the festival, subject to availability, capacity and role balance.
Can I book an individual workshop?
Yes. Individual workshops are now available for £30 per person, per workshop. Select your workshop and dancing role — Leader or Follower. Places are subject to availability, capacity and role balance.
Do I need a partner?
No. You can register as a solo dancer or with a partner. Role balance is monitored carefully, so early booking is recommended.
Is there a bar at the festival?
Yes. A full cocktail bar will be open throughout every milonga, serving drinks across the festival weekend.
Are changing rooms and showers available?
Yes. The venue has changing rooms available for festival guests, with access to showers — ideal if you would like to freshen up between workshops and milongas.
Are there dress themes?
Yes. Thursday is Elegant, Friday is Red / Rojo, Saturday is Golden Age — gold, gold accents & black, and Sunday is Colours of Argentina — blue & white. Dress themes are encouraged, but the most important thing is to feel comfortable and enjoy the festival.
Can I change workshops or transfer my pass?
Workshop changes and pass transfers may be requested up to 30 days before the festival, subject to availability, capacity, role balance and organiser approval.
What happens on Sunday?
Sunday is a full Grand Celebration rather than simply a farewell. The milonga runs from 3:00PM–9:00PM, moving from afternoon into evening beside the Thames as daylight gives way to sunset. DJ Yanina Erramouspe — DJ La Rubia leads six hours of dancing, followed by a special show featuring all our maestros, including unexpected pairings created especially for the Grand Celebration. The Argentine Asado is optional and booked separately, with bookings opening in September.

Are bookings refundable?
Bookings are non-refundable for attendee cancellations. This does not affect statutory rights. If the festival is cancelled, rescheduled or materially changed by the organiser, attendees will be contacted with the available options under applicable consumer law.
